Using Bluetooth Printer On Laptops

By default, on the COD POS app, bluetooth thermal printers connect to mobile devices while USB thermal printers connect to laptops.

However, you may decide to use a thermal printer on your laptop. We will show you how to connect seamlessly with and without drivers.

Without Driver

If your printer did not come with a driver, you can download and install a generic POS58 driver form the internet. But note the following.

• On the step where you have the radio button options, choose USB - use USB cable to connect the printer to your computer.
• Choose the available USB port on your computer from the drop down list and continue with the installation.
• On completion, verify that the new diver was installed successfully by going to settings, Bluetooth and Devices > Printers and Scanners. You should see the newly installed driver.

Now connect the printer to your laptop using the USB port you selected above.

Finally go to printer settings in your COD POS app, choose Bluetooth Printer and submit.

After this, printing should start working.

With Driver

If your printer came with its own driver, follow these steps:

• Add printer to bluetooth list. Ensure the printer is turned on and paired with your laptop. Pairing pin is usually 0000.
• Install driver. While installing, choose A serial port - use a serial port cable, connect the printer to your computer. You can choose COM3 or COM4.
• Go to printer settings in your COD POS app, choose Bluetooth Printer and submit.

Printing should start working after this.
